The Montville Holiday House is a delightfully private 4 bedroom family friendly cottage with awesome views that comfortably sleeps 8 guests (pets are also most welcome).

The house comes complete with virtually everything that you could imagine you might need whilst you’re away including full kitchen & BBQ facilities with outdoor dining areas where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets and views of the valley below. Quality Linen is supplied (including Towels) and the beds are very comfortable ensuring a great nights rest.

Indoor / Outdoor Games are supplied for all to enjoy spending quality time together. TV/DVD player with a small DVD library (including kids movies). You are also very welcome to read some of our wonderful books / magazines or unwind in the relaxing atmosphere of the private gardens before visiting some of the many local attractions in the spectacular Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Located right on top of Balmoral Lookout (which is 5 kms south of Montville on the Blackall Range) the Montville Holiday House is ideal for families looking for somewhere that the parents can relax just as much as the kids, groups of friends hoping to catch up, unwind, have a few laughs and soak up the atmosphere, as well as couples looking for that intimate escape
We are extremely fortunate to be able to boast two completely different postcard quality panoramic outlooks, most places are lucky to have one. At approximately 640 metres above sea level our house is on one of the highest points along the Blackall Range tourist drive. From the front gate of Montville Holiday House you can see spectacular views of the Sunshine Coast out over Caloundra toward Moreton Island and from the back deck you have breathtaking views down the valley over the top of the obi-obi creek toward Lake Baroon. On a still evening you can even hear the white water rapids. Our back deck is also a great vantage point for sightings of a myriad of native wild birds and other assorted wildlife

Accommodation


The property sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms and the configuration is 2 rooms with double beds / 2 rooms with double bunks.
For parents with very young families, cots and prams are available to you free of charge.
The house is a solidly constructed timber “old Queenslander” cottage that has a wonderful sense of place perched right on top of Balmoral Lookout just south of Montville in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland. It was infact the original Caloundra Port Masters cottage (circa. 1920’s) previous to being moved up the Blackall Range to its current location. Inside the house you’ll find the original vertical-join wall (vj) timber walls and wonderful exposed polished timber flooring.
